ㅤWhile having rivals and stuff can be fun, I would still hope to have my character respected as well as myself. Not the respect you would show a leader of course, but the kind of respect you'd show your fellow person. I would rather not see my characters constantly bashed on and treated poorly, same for myself. Basic human decency is all I ask for.

I'm a queer and trans writer and artist who's been playing FFXIV for 2 years+, and I absolutely love this game and it's story.   PERSONALITY   ㅤWhile sometimes awkward and a touch oblivious to certain things, he's a warm and kind soul to those he meets, easily leaning into a more wise, parental figure as well when needed, his eyes taking on the gleam of an older role model despite his younger looks. He's always smiling so gently, always lending a hand if asked, even when he's busy, he truly lives by the idea that a small act of kindness will always spark another.
ㅤTruth be told, however, is that while he is happy with his set in life, he wasn't always quite like this, and still has trouble with not reverting back to baser instincts and traumas.

  APPEARANCE  ㅤAs of now, while not visible in game(yet,) he looks much the same as his art, with only some details that didn't make it into the art or can't really be seen.
ㅤHis teeth have a slight gap between the front two, all framed by sharp canines with sharper, dragon-like 'talon cusp' teeth behind them forming a second row. He has a golden tattoo on his right arm of a serpent winding up his arm, the head of said serpent eerily similar to Nidhogg, the Dreadwyrm, complete with red eyes.

  The Dawning of an Untold Future..  ㅤTo Aiden, as it is with many, he is ever unsure about where his future is heading, and to him it's a frightening thing to be uncertain. He says his journey near ended a few years ago, and such events and sorrow still haunt him til this day, and that makes him strive to have a stronger grip on his own life, and what he decides to do with it. Despite the troubles he still seems to face til this day, he does his best to take it one step at a time and try to find what happiness he can in life, to truly appreciate the present moment as it comes. Wherever that beautiful dawn will lead him, he shall follow it eagerly and chase that light until his own candle burns out.  A Tale of Loss, and Fire, and Faith..  ㅤAiden's past, both during his time in Eorzea and before he even came to these lands, is an interesting.. and sorrowful.. tale to tell- yet it's also one of hope, of overcoming the monsters inside, the monster you think you are, and forging a new name, a new path, a new family for yourself. To gain his trust is a must if you wish to hear this Hero's Journey in full, best to do so now, as it tends to be never ending..  Sinful Truths Hidden in the Sands..  ㅤAiden's history doesn't end with his time in Eorzea and when he first set foot here of course, and in fact dates back to ages beforehand, quite literally. Sparring and Combat
ㅤAiden has one thing he will allow himself to grow excited about in another's company, and that thing is fighting. Despite how tired he grows of the constant wars and end of the world events, he still can’t deny his love of the thrill he gets when sparring with others and pushing himself to the limit. Even when he loses and gets surprised, he still finds great enjoyment in it, especially if he can learn something from his opponent that can translate to his own fights in the future.ㅤHobby 2ㅤ
Painting
ㅤWhile this is a more personal hobby, Aiden finds enjoyment in quietly painting with nothing but some music to accompany him, especially on rougher nights. He originally learned to take up the practice as a therapeutic activity from someone close, and ever since he’s grown in this skill and continues to do it till this day. His home and Tavern are filled with water color paintings of places he’s seemingly been, and in a hidden corner of his hideaway has a plethora of other abstract ones from when his mind roars loudly in his ears, never to be seen by the light of day..ㅤHobby 3ㅤ
Adventuring and Exploring
ㅤAs one could guess from his single occupation, Aiden is an avid explorer and lover of adventures, no matter where he’s going or what he’s doing, there’s always a bright side to a journey if there’s something new to learn and see. Even when the days are rough on him, his mind can never settle, and his heart is always eager to take the next step forward and follow the call of wanderlust. It’s less of a duty nowadays, and more of an aspiration- his legacy..

  Early Beginnings of the one known as Aiden Sormrson  ㅤThis section will contain heavy references to drugging and child abuse/experimentation as it dives into Aiden's early childhood lore. Please be cautious and stay safe when reading, for while I'm not the best writer nor is this truly graphic material, I would still wish for you to be advised and warned just in case. Additionally, it does contain spoilers for Shadowbringers and Endwalker, so please be advised of references to both expansions.
ㅤThis section is meant to read out much like a data log fading into a fairy tale, said fairy tale being attached to the link at the end because it's 5 pages long, and will begin under this. Stay safe, and please enjoy...

  EXPERIMENT CODE NAME: A1D3N  ㅤNewest Vessel for Project: Ultima Weapon.

  ABILITIES:  

  •   aether fluctuations    Able to change its main Aetherical influence based on what Crystals it consumes in high quantities, i.e. feed it lightning crystals and it’ll have a greater lean towards lightning and lightning aspected abilities, ect. This was made possible by making its base Aether, which was already well balanced towards all, able to be tipped easily to another and back.

  •   aether draining & expulsion    Exactly what it sounds like: it was able to siphon incredible amounts of Aether from the land, constructs, and beings around it and expel it, which usually happens when the creature is under extreme stress. This was noted to be very similar to the way Ultima can be utilized. However, due to it acting as if it was always under stress, however, it was noted that it was best to keep the creature subdued at all times with tranquilizers and/or drugs so the ability wouldn’t be activated, as no one would be safe should it set it off.

  •   channeled blasts    Still, as it is of the Ultima Project, it still has some control over the power of Ultima. As such, even when subdued, it can charge and release an extremely condensed beam of energy akin to a laser beam, and while it takes a toll on the beast’ body and energy, the damage it deals and the effect it has in battle is always worth it.

  •   hollow bones    While birds and most dragons don’t have hollow bones, this beast does so it can achieve flight when allowed. However, its bones are reinforced, and its body in general is able to resist heavy amounts of damage despite how light it is compared to what a creature of its size is supposed to weigh. That, and due this, it’s proven to be a stealthy and deadly hunter both on land and in air should it have sufficient cover, its steps and wingbeats as silent as the grave.

  •   retractable teeth and claws    It seems to have gained a second set of teeth behind its original set that it can ‘sheath and unsheath’ at will, this set even coming with a pair of viper-like fangs. Its claws, while naturally sharp already, can also seemingly extend to great lengths as well, this part being more of an emotion based response. Both are extremely sharp and resistant, able to slice and tear through the toughest of metals and materials.

  •   adaptation    It’s able to easily adapt to any environment it's placed in, much like how dragons can evolve swiftly to survive. As such, it’s extremely resistant to things like cold and heat after tests to build up its endurance and to make it adapt to all sorts of stimuli in the world around it that they’d eventually go and conquer.

  •   3RR0R- mimicry    Only to two would this ability have been known, one who was taken for a fool for having thought so in his fear of the creature, and another who assumedly took it to his grave. The creature is able to mimic the voices of others to speak, repeating words it had heard in life to formulate choppy sentences, each word tinged with static and a small weak voice of the little girl it once was lying under the voices of others.

  •   3RR0R- the echo    Even before being officially bestowed the Echo before its escape, the creature had visions of the past anytime it slept, even if it mistook them as dreams up until it was older. These dreams, visions, memories, were of a world and people it would never get to know, yet did at the same time through the eyes of a man named Hero. And through it, it got to experience what it was like to have a family for the first time, to feel the gentle love of friends and a mother who adored it- adored him. And it was to the ghostly visage of this mother he awoke, and She set him free with a wish of hope and a song on Her lips that was given to him. And thus, the Warrior of Light was thrust into a story of loss, fire, and faith..

  3RROR, CLASSIFIED INFORMATION:  
  WEAKNESSES:  

  •   hunger    This beast had an insatiable appetite due to the mass energy it took to fuel its powers and keep its body running, yet due to how submissive they were able to make it through punishment and conditioning, it never sought other sources out and waited to be fed by its handlers and would graciously take whatever it was given. As such, they underfed it by a long shot, and will do practically anything they command it to do with the eagerness of a loyal mutt so long as a treat reward is involved.

  •   the heart    Should it need to be disposed of, its crystal heart- made from synthetic Auracite made to mimic the Heart of Sabik- is the easiest way to do so despite its damage resistance. Even the slightest crack would ensure that its life force would drain from it, and the bigger the fracture means less time for it to live. It will not go down lightly however and will panic, and even if the heart was removed entirely somehow it would still live on for a time and ensure everyone nearby pays, so proceed with caution and end it when it’s unconscious. This will be your only way.

  •   tempering    Despite being fueled in a similar way that Eikons are summoned and having the power to rival and even overthrow them, it does not possess the ability or innate intelligence to enact tempering on subjects. This comes as a great miracle to us so that we can continue our experiments without further delay, nor will we ever plan to teach it this power, lest it use that knowledge against us the moment it can. Continue to subdue subject as we have to keep it from potentially rebelling.

  Subject Gained  ㅤA weak and surrendering kingdom asks to join the Allagan Empire when it stood in its prime, handing over a young girl to do what they wished with as a peace offering of sorts. She was said to hold tremendous power and be gifted, and whether the Empire knew this was a lie or not, they still took her to be the unofficial key to their newest project: the Ultima Project, meant to mimic the power of Eikons into a God-like being man could temper and control. Lifted up in praise by hands that once abused her, she was brought into the torturous embrace of the scientist that would oversee her project for the coming years, and thus what little childhood she had was stripped away. By neither side was she given a name in life, but she was at least given a code designation: A1D3N.  Experiments and Reveals  ㅤThe first of the experiments done on her was the replacing of her organic heart with a synthetic Auracite one, a more recent creation of theirs. It was a painful process, and one her older self still has nightmares about in vivid detail, but surprisingly where many had perished without such a key component in their chest, this little girl survived miraculously. Perhaps it was because she already seemed to be made of crystal, a small patch of similar quartz-like material found on the area where her tailbone was. Whatever she was, she didn’t seem to be from the star despite her Hyur-like looks, and even asking her past caretakers yielded little answers other than the fanatical one of her being found in a crater from a fallen meteor. How outlandish..

  Influences and Habits  ㅤThe creature is chimerical to its core after both biological and aetherical experiments, its main influence being the dragons they fought against with additions from deer, rabbits, sharks, snakes, wild cats and hounds, and birds of prey being some of the other key notes to its design- truly, it was made to be a monster through and through.
ㅤNo hints of its mortal shell were left to remain, however reports from those who don’t know of its origins do state that people get uneasy around it in a way they shouldn’t. The childlike grief and defeated look in its eyes and muzzled expression make the unknowing feel like they did something wrong, garnering the beast pity in a way most other augmented creatures of war wouldn’t get. No matter how many times its caretakers ‘correct’ it however, it is unable to change this and continues to cause unsteadiness in others through its gaze alone.ㅤWhile it has the potential to eat anything and on occasion is fed other beasts or other test subjects and captives, its main diet is Aether seeing as it is a False Eikon of sorts, specifically Aether Crystals. Of course, should it be out in the field and need to be fed, Ceruleum is the next best substitute, acting almost like a dog treat for the beast strangely enough. Best to use such an apparent weakness against it for further conditioning.ㅤDue to its mortal mind and age at the time, this beast is extremely adept at learning things fast and remembering things, and will even teach itself certain concepts and things that even children at the age it was are usually unable to learn. Concerns are noted about this fact, and some even fear that it might one day break free and outsmart them all somehow, but due to how well it obeys and how complacent, even if pitiful, it seems these worries are eased over fairly quickly. If only they worried a little more and for a little longer.
